Redcliffe lecturers are often engaged in research, writing and speaking in their areas of specialism. Last week, for example, two faculty members gave papers at the Lausanne Movement European regional Diaspora Educators’ consultation, which was held at the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies (OCMS).
Dr Kang-San Tan (Head of Mission Studies) delivered a paper entitled, ‘In Search of Contextualised Training Models for Chinese Christian Diaspora in Britain’, while Rev Dr Darrell Jackson (Lecturer in European Studies and Director of the Nova Research Centre) spoke on ‘Migrants and the Migrant Church: Contemporary European Perspectives’.
You can read more about the consultation on OCMS’s website.
Similarly, this weekend Tim Davy (Lecturer in Biblical Studies and Director of the Centre for the Study of Bible and Mission) will be attending a conference in Birmingham aimed at encouraging churches to engage more with biblical wisdom. He is giving a paper on ‘Wisdom, the Church and the Mission of God.’
